Spirit Studios opened in 1980 in Tariff Street Manchester with 4 small rehearsal rooms and a single 4 track recording studio. Now spirit has re-opened as a new, state of the art recording facility. With its history and roots firmly embedded in Manchester’s local music scene, Spirits aim is once again to be at the forefront of the cities ever-evolving musical talent. Spirit provides a spacious, inviting, creative environment in which to make your music, combining modern and vintage recording equipment with a 1500 sqft naturally daylight combined live/control room, iso booth and green room with tv,xbox,dvd,fridge,tea/coffee facilities. Our house engineer/producer aims to provide artists with more than just a recording service. We want to see quality results as much as our clients. We offer everything from pre-production, track recording, music videos right through to getting gigs and contacts within the industry. We have years of experience in this field and many contacts to help you get to where you want to be. Run a record label? We work closely with labels to ensure their signings/potential signings are produced to the highest standard, we offer pre-production days for labels wanting to see how a band perform under studio conditions or just wanting to try out ideas. Sessions can be booked 24hrs a day 7 days a week, we are always available to talk to you about your requirements or just come over and hang out, take a tour, have a cup of tea! We pride ourselves on being a big part of Manchester’s musical community and this is reflected by our reputation. We have great rates for unsigned acts (we know how hard it is to raise funds) and can accommodate any kind of budget, we want to see you achieve your goals. We always offer discounts for block bookings of more than two consecutive days and if we run over, we don’t keep charging you (within reason!).
